Father Edward Catich

The late father Edward Catich was one of the most talented and productive calligraphers and lettering artists of this century. He published several fine books on the making of Roman inscriptions that revealed the true nature of their production. This sample page is from his booklet accompanying his tracings of the Trajan Inscription in Rome. The writing is in his clear and precise Petrarch script, enhanced with elaborate colored initals.
