Journalism and Mass Communication Monographs
The University of Iowa Journalism & Mass Communication Monographs was established, according to founding editor Bruce Westley, to serve the AEJMC membership and scholars and readers in adjacent fields by publishing original, scholarly works which are too long as articles and too short or too specialized for book form. One of the goals of the monograph series from the beginning has been to publish scholarly work from the entire field, whether the methodology was historical, legal, behavioral, or whatever.
